THE LOOSE HAIRSTYLE
Today, a new step by step hair tutorial. This time, we are going to make a loose hairstyle. This makes a statement, even if it is really easy to do. I used to wear it almost everyday when I was in high school, 5 years ago. This hairstyle is great because even if you have long and thick hair like I do, it is really light to wear. Furthermore, this is totally suitable for a party or a formal event.
To make this hairstyle, you will need :
- a comb or a hairbrush
- a texturising thermo-protector spray
- small hair clips
- bobby pins
- a curler iron (optional)
1 – Comb or brush your hair well to avoid knots. Use a texturising and thermo-protector spray to protect your hair from the heat of the iron. If you already have curly hair, just use a spray to define curls.
2 – Curl your hair with the iron (lucky girls with curly hair won’t have to do this step). I use the Curl Secret from Babyliss, and I highly recommend it to you if you often curl your hair : it really works wonders.
3 – Once your curls done, undo them with your finger to give them a loose finish.
4 -Then, take big and rough locks and clip their ends to your head with the small hair clips. The result shouldn’t be too perfect. Be careful not to pull the locks too much behind : the hair shouldn’t be straight and flat against your scalp, it should be quite loose.
Keep going until your whole hair is tied. You might need a lot of hair clips. The locks souldn’t fall or hang down.
5 – You should get something similar. The locks are well cliped on the scalp, but thanks to the curls, we get a pretty volume, the hair is not flat. As you can see, the result is a little messy, but I think that this is what makes this hairstyle nice. With the bobby pins, rectify the little locks that curl upward or fall. Put a pin here and there to hide a bump, balance the volume…
For a special event, you can use some decorative pins in your hair.
6 – Finally, you can pull some hair around your face. Voilà ! Easy but pretty, right ?
