Picture : The Style Files
I am soon moving house, and my new place is going to be really better than the current one (I really look forward to it !), so I am going to decorate a bit more. We are still renting so I don’t want to/can’t make big changes to the house. I have therefore started to look for ideas that will allow me to improve and embellish this new place, without involving too much efforts. I decided to begin with the bathroom, because this is a room I especially like when well organised and nicely decorated.
The cherry on top is the fact that our future home has not one, not two, but three bathrooms ! I will have a lot to do… I’m sharing with you the little changes that I intend to make to these rooms.
Under the pictures, you can find the direct links to the websites that inspired me.
A GREEN BATHROOM
I really like “green” bathrooms. The perfect association between water and plants, I guess. I intend to play and create different themes according to the area of the house : for the two guest bathrooms, some succulents in a bowl full of sand for a mediterranean spirit. For the main bathroom in my bedroom, a big houseplant in a pretty pot, and flowers on the sink.
PRETTY OBJECTS ON A TRAY
I love the idea of beautiful containers/cosmetics/jewels stored on a tray. Wether it is a hand soap, some cotton pads or makeup brushes, I think it is important to present them nicely. It will change the aspect of the room, and doesn’t cost a thing : some pretty glasses on a metal tray can be enough.
A COSY BATHTUB
I am delighted : the new house has a bathtub ! Even if it’s in one of the guest bathrooms, I think I’m going to use it quite often… And to decorate this area, I will choose some pretty containers to store bath salts and sponges, some candles, and the famous “bathtub table” to put a cup of tea, some beauty products and a book on it.
AN ORGANISED ROOM
Finally, some organised storage is as important as a nice decor ! Small baskets are a great alternative for a rental that doesn’t have a lot of cupboards and closets. They are inexpensive, you can find them anywhere and they are great to nicely store your beauty products and your bath linen. My main bathroom has a sink similar to the one on the 3rd picture : I am going to put several compartments in the big drawer to organise all my products and accessories.
I am soon going to share with you the final results in my new place. Stay tuned !
