Photo : 79 Ideas
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the home office I want to create for me in a near future. Not that I absolutely need this room – I’m currently writing from my kitchen counter and I’m fine – but I like the idea of a space that entirely belongs to me, where I can set the decor I like, where I can leave books, magazines, camera accessories and notebooks all over the place with complete impunity. Over the last few weeks, I have found ideas and inspiration here and there, and I’ve decided to put them all in one post to share what I’d like, and perhaps give you some ideas for your own home office.
A long bright desk
To take beautiful pictures – and also because I loathe dark interiors – I need a great light. The ideal for me would be to have a long working area on which I could spread my things, stage my pictures, take photos of makeup tutorial, under a big big window. Because I also need to look up from my computer screen from time to time to watch the birds fly…
A colourful, mediterranean decor
I’m a total fan of the mediterranean style, with cacti and succulents. Which is a good thing when you live in the middle of the Mediterranean sea ! For my office, I don’t want a minimalistic room : I want it to be warm, inspiring and a reflexion of who I am.
A versatile space
In my home office, I’d like to put something else than a simple desk. I’d like to own a room in which I would feel nice and that I wouldn’t associate with “work”. Even if my job (this blog) is far from being unpleasant and is more like a kind of hobby, I still want to be able to do something else in this room, like reading a book, watching a TV show, puting nailpolish on or listening to music. I really want to turn a corner into a kind of small living room area.
Do you have a home office ? What does it look like ?
